The population of white-crowned mangabeys has been seriously reduced by over-hunting for bushmeat and habitat destruction and there are thought to be only a few thousand remaining in fragmented groups. Much of their day is spent
foraging for food in the dense forest undergrowth but these engaging little primates keep in contact with each other at all times with constant calling.

Did you know?
When together, mangabeys communicate by blinking their white eyelids.
